I just got back into golfing last year after a ten-year hiatus and this book was just perfect. It does a great job of breaking down a lot of the mystery and intrigue associated with the game, and made me much more comfortable on the course. I still have MUCH to learn--which is really one of the best aspect of the game, IMHO--but this was great about putting me on a good track. I think the best thing about this book was the realization that the game isn't all that different for women vice men, but that we all act like it is. Recognizing the problem is the first step (I think the second step is washing it out?)At any rate--I liked this one, and refer back to it frequently.

I'm a new golfer. I read this book once and started taking lessons. I find myself going back and re-reading parts of it over and over again as I try to perfect my putting and my full swing. It is helping my game greatly. My instructor is amazed how quickly I learn. I wouldn't have remembered everything my instructor told me if I hadn't gone back to reading the relevant parts from this book.

This book is in great condition and seems very informative. I doubt I will set the world on fire as a golfer, but it looks like it said it would.

It's easy to follow and simple to understand. This will be suitable for an individual who just starts to learn how to play golf. I tried the drills that the author provides in her book. It works well for me. However, it would be nice if the author provides more information on the diffrence of natural, strong or weak grip and the impact of each one when making contact with golf ball.

Good book although it feels a bit old, there's a lot of anti men's attitudes towards women golfers in the book and that was presumably the writer's experience. I have only just started being a learner golfer and haven't noticed any of that but I guess, give them time. Still, the techniques and protocol all fit in very well with what my brilliant woman coach is teaching me.

Great book for a beginner, but also gives lots of tips to fix problems with your swing, stance, etc. Really like her down to earth style.

The book is some what accurate until you read where the so called race came from. It's easy to be deceived because you read in the beginning about the three sons of Noah; Sham, Ham & Japhet. Because Japhet spread out in Asia, Russia & Europe the argument is made that the so called white race came from Japhet. However, there are other books out there that states otherwise that the first Greeks where black people and later was conquered by pale or the so called white race which is known as Esau. Don't fall for the holes in this book. I gave it three stars because like many other books there are things you can take out and things that are biblical; I referenced because the bible is my first book. The bible says that Esau is the Fore Father of the so called white race who which some people are afraid to admit, he came out of Shem. Who is biblically called the red people. Keep reading, but also study the scriptures over these books from men. Ecclesiastes 12:12-13[12]And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.[13]Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

I purchased this book on the recommendation of a trusted friend. As I try to dig deeper into my history, I'll be reading a lot. My history isn't really taught in schools. Our history is barely a single, washed out and sanitized chapter in the History books. We are taught that we were in Africa, brought over on ships, worked as slaves singing negro spirituals in the fields, Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, Rosa Parks wouldn't give up her seat, Martin Luther King Jr marched, and we were free. What about BEFORE 1619? What was really going on and happening as we were "slaves"? Are we REALLY free? What about OUR history? So I read these books to gain insight. I think that if we taught our children that they are Kings and Queens, and conducted ourselves as such, we could make positive change. So add this book to your collection.

China Rich Girlfriend is the worst.I read Crazy Rich Asians because I saw the poster for the movie , and yes, I'm one of those snobs who generally believe that the book is always better than the movie.This was one situation where, as I read, I could see that here was a good idea which could be made great with the right team of screen writers and casting directors.China Rich Girlfriend takes what was horrible about Crazy Rich Asians and amps it up, with the effect of drowning out what was good about the first book.The use of footnotes in the first book was convenient, more like subtitles which allowed the characters to break into their native tongues quite naturally. By the time we get to China Rich, Kevin Kwan uses them as running commentary on the characters and situations. Like watching a movie with that friend who has strong opinions on everything and keeps chattering away as you're trying to immerse yourself in the experience.Also, I'm sure by this time, we get it. The characters are rich. The book degenerates into pages and pages of describing bathrooms and jets and handbags and shoes and cars... I think there is only about 25% of story buried in 75% explanation about how Astrid's style is deceptively simple. How charming! Bracelets from 650 BC and a dress from Zara! How does she do it! But wait! Michael's Ferrari!I'm giving it 2 stars because despite the atrocious writing, one dimensional characters etc. I'm still going to buy the 3rd book.Sigh.

I absolutely loved this book and of course must start by saying that you really need to read "Crazy Rich Asians" (Book One) before you even pick this up because some of the more subtle story lines will fall flat without that back drop. Above everything else, what I appreciated the most was that this mini series actually provided resolution to the most important stories.There were some characters from the first book who fizzled away without explanation, and a couple of twists that seemed to come out of left field, but none of that changed the fact that I devoured this 400+ page book and enjoyed every minute of it.

The plot has us bouncing around to various locations all over the world, a device which shows us how wealthy everyone is with their own jumbo jets, magnificent mansions, closets full of designer clothes, oodles of expensive jewels, and net worth in the billions of dollars. Kwan devotes plenty of ink to these trappings of wealth but unfortunately skimps on his characters and the story line. It gets rather tiresome after reading page after page of prose that resembles an inventory of valuables for an insurance policy. A big disappointment after enjoying Kwan’s earlier book.

I LOVE this series and cannot wait for the third book to come out. When I read the first book in the series it took me a little while to adjust to the writing style of the author before I started to really love the characters and the plot. The books don't necessarily have an ending, it's more of a continuation and makes you want more. Kwan thoroughly thought out the characters and you can't help but fall in love with Rachel, Nick, and of course, Astrid (!). The second book was laid out a little differently style-wise than the first but it's easy to adjust since most of the characters are the same but there are some plot twists and new characters. Overall an awesome read!

I rated this book based on how engaging and fun to read it was. It's not my usual deep philosophical tome but having grown up in the Philippines , I did have many Chinese friends and was raised by a beloved Chinese amah. I love their culture and respect for family. This book shows a very extreme culture within that people who embody the notion that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I thought this was better than the first of the trilogy (Crazy Rich Asians... which I also loved.) The drama started right away and you were quickly transported into the luxury scene of some of China and Singapore’s most elite families. This is a perfect beach read. Also great any time of the year if you’re just looking for something fun and entertaining. Be sure to read the whole trilogy!

This book is like eating a milk shake with whipped cream. It will fill you up but there's not a lot of substance. It's just frothy fun but a little boring and not much to it. I'm on to the third book in the trilogy, though. I'm learning so much about this culture...I had no idea.

Very fun summer read! All of the characters in the first book, CrazyRrich Asians, and the continued nicely into this book. It is what I would call a beach read and sometimes that's all you want. It is what I would call a beach read and sometimes that's all you want I don't want to come away with his knowing that I would like to go to Asia and how beautiful all of these places sound . Also I live in an area where there is not much Chinese food so it makes me crave all of the things that I missed from where I lived before .

Great help

I like this book a lot. I have used Kaplan and the ETS Official GRE book but I have found the explanations on this book much easier to understand. I have not done any math/geometry since high school so I am pretty rusty. After reviewing the sections, I feel that I have remembered how to do these concepts!

Pros:Comes with online practice tests. You really do want this, to familiarize yourself with the test.Paper quality is decent (not phone book paper) so you can write on it easily.Not so overwhelmingly large that you cannot take it with you.The math explanations are clear. You will struggle if you never learned the concepts with just these explanations (if so, try Khan academy online and free) but if you learned them at some point in life then they have enough explanation to dredge the concepts up from the depth of your brain.Cons:Pricey compared to some other GRE test prep.Wish it came with flash cards or an app for studying the ridiculous vocab words (you do need to know them) for quick reviewing.

CAUTION! If you have a decent quantitative score, Math strategies will not help you. I bought it to boost my score, unfortunately, I disappointed. I gave three stars for the verbal strategies!If you are relatively new to math, this book will definitely help you. It can give you some tactics to enhance your score.

Author Laurie WJN brought a real dilemma many of us, men and women, face and that is aging. I am a 58-year-old male, yet, this book taught me so much I ha not known about women, though it is clear I had more sexual relationships than she admits she had. I am so impressed by the way Laurie presented such a sensitive matter into life in such a simple and humorous way that I laughed out loud several times reading this beautiful book.On page 419, Laurie writes: "There is just something about the word cancer that reduces grown men and women into scared little toddlers." As a cancer patient myself, I attest to that - profoundly said, Laurie. All the medical experiences (experiments) she has gone through throughout the story, are real as I have gone through myself, but as a male.One other quote I need to point out is when Laurie says: "Getting older is not for sissies." I enjoyed reading this book about Menopause. I didn't enjoy Menopause but the book gave this uncomfortable stage of life a humorous twist. I had gone through many similar issues and procedures as discussed in the book. I did make jokes at times to ease the tension. I often ribbed my doctor about Peri-Menopause because he refused to acknowledge it. He insisted that a woman goes through Peri-Menopause her whole life. While I insisted that he never had it so he will never understand it.It took courage for the author to write about a such a personal time in her life. But I do feel like I now know her personally and I like her sense of humor.

short book, poor writing, cliche gendered jokes, half was copy pasted from webmd. As someone with actual uterine issues, hers were so minor that I couldn't figure out when the serious issues would begin. They didn't. This was a waste of time and money.

There were a few laughs and I like the author's moxie and honesty. She certainly has a built in audience out there right now with so many baby boomers entering perimenopause. It's been tough to find books that blend clinical answers with simple details most women can relate to. She comes as close as any one else I've read so far.

As a mother who just gave birth I found this book super intense noting and relevant. Nothing is like a good laugh and it is so important to look at our lives with humor. This book gave a lot if new insights about being a women and a mother and reading it was a great fun. Thank you!
