This book is great for the wilderness paddler. Brief descriptions and quite complete of major trips done by paddler in Canada. Names,dates, destinations, and cross referencing allows paddlers to start researching routes, contacting other paddlers and getting trip reports with the help of Google. From an historical perspective, it is interesting to know who has traveled these route before you. A great book for the serious wilderness paddler.

Great comprehensive look into the history of river running in the far north of Canada. The trips undertaken by many individuals and groups is amazing.

Would recommend reading this book. My copy was in excellent condition as it was brand new. This book could be an excellent reference for canoeing or history enthusiasts.

A well done "bible" of canoeing history.If you want to try one of these rivers, knowing it's history heightens the experience.My only criticism - it ends in 1974!
