Excellent book with great illustrations!

I purchased this book to expand my knowledge of clock repair, specifically platform escapements which are always found in carriage clocks. The material is thorough and easy to follow. The chapters follow a logical progression from start to finish. My only disappointment is that the chapter on platform escapements made several references to other books that covered that subject more thoroughly and did not go into great detail.The author is an expert and does a very good job putting the information in terms the beginner should be able to understand.

About the Author

Joel Feinberg (Professor Emeritus, late of University of Arizona) was widely recognized as one of America's leading political and social philosophers. Acclaimed both for his ground-breaking scholarship and his exemplary teaching skills, Feinberg published widely on topics such as individual rights, legal theory, capital punishment, the treatment of the mentally ill, civil disobedience, and environmental ethics. Before joining the University of Arizona faculty, he taught at Brown, Princeton, and Rockefeller universities. Feinberg was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1987-88 to work in Japan and served as chairman of the National Board of Officers in the American Philosophical Association in the mid-1980s. Some of the royalties from Reason and Responsibility have been used to establish the Regents Professor Joel Feinberg Dissertation Fellowship in Philosophy at the University of Arizona.

I needed this for my Law class. It’s super duper helpful and honestly pretty easy to read. Everything is digestible. No need to be intimidated by all these big ideas. Well I suppose if you’re thinking of getting this you’re not easily intimidated in the first place. Lol.

Such a great book and it's really helping me in my philosophy of law class

I ordered this for school. When the book arrived is was falling apart. The book is basically torn in half. The content is fine though.

The headline says it all.

I rate this 5 star because I love the content of this good --- good choices.However, this book is quiet fragile in the way that pages start to come off after a while.But still --- I am buying the content!
