As a newby to the BGE Egghead group I love this book. Not just the recipes but the information in the front is very helpful. It explains how to cook with direct heat or indirect, gives you lots of tips. I went and bought a plate setter and cooked my first pork loin using the indirect method and followed their tips. It came out so juicy and cooked to perfection. I am now going to advance to mixing rubs :) The local BGE dealers sell the same book for $50 so I loved getting it for such a good price on Amazon.

I recently purchased a Large Green Egg. Having never used a Big Green Egg before, buying a book to go with it seemed necessary so this was an easy choice. Being a beginner, I loved all the introductory material in the beginning but I found myself hungering for a bit more. It does go through the very basics of lighting and cooking but some FAQ's or troubleshooting info would have been helpful.The recipes have also been a lot of fun and represent quite a range. As others have commented, there are lots of recipes here that you wouldn't expect to make in a grill. But for me, that was what I liked about the book. Beyond an interest in making the specific recipes I like that it helped inspire new ideas about how I might use the grill beyond the standards. However, I can see where, for example, baking recipes might disappoint some purchasers who are either not interested in these recipes or feel that they are already skilled enough to adapt baking recipes from other sources to be used with the Big Green Egg.Overall though I've been really satisfied with this book and it's a nice accompaniment to the grill itself.

Hands down best BBQ cookbook ever. And we have many. My husband makes the Thanksgiving turkey that is the best. Only way turkey is done now! He's made the world's best brisket from the recipes in this book. I worked as a waitress at a famous brisket restaurant in Columbia, MD so I know my briskets!!!!

When I bought my BGE, the rep at the store highly recommended this book which the store offered at full list price. I figured that Amazon would offer it at a better price so ordered it when I got home.The first 10 pages on general tips and tricks were good, especially for a newbie. But I think I could have found most of the information on the web.The recipes haven't been great for me, so I've stopped trying them. Instead, I just use the book as a reference when I'm cooking something on the BGE for estimates on heating temperature and time (i.e., when I'm either making something up or translating a recipe from another book to a BGE version).Just my experience and opinion, but I wouldn't recommend the book.

Hey. No complaints about the book—it’s great. Very good recipes, great tips and ideas, fun to read and great pictures. I have purchased three of these for new Eggheads. However...I am now experiencing a second shipping delay from an amazon purchase in a month. Hmm...is prime still special????

I bought a Green Egg and love it! The store was out of the Cookbook so I ordered one from Amazon. I saved money, got fast delivery and the cookbook is wonderful! I have tried various recipes successfully and followed the instructions which were thorough and easy to follow. The cookbook has made my use of the Green Egg very successful and enjoyable. The recipes are very tasty and vary from grilling standards to things I wouldn't think of...and they are all tuned to success on my Green Egg. Highly recommend this cookbook if you have a Green Egg! And if you don't have a Green Egg...get one because the Cookbook will guarantee your success and enjoyment! Don't have one without the other in my opinion!

My dad decided to pick up grilling as a hobby and was looking up recipes online, I decided to get him this book to have recipes he hadn't even thought of. He absolutely loves this book, many different ideas and great instructions! Definitely recommend!

What makes this ebook so great isn't all of the great recipes inside. Rather it's the convenience of having it wherever you go. Sure, all of the recipes that I've tried so far have been good, but what was better was that I didn't have to write down a grocery list for my grilling adventure. It was right there on my android phone, then I used my iPad when I got home to prepare the food.Sure, you can get some of these recipes on the BGE forums etc, but it's a lot easier to just open my kindle app and pick out a recipe on the go and make it as soon as I get home.I recommend this to all of my egg friends. Plus it's only a fraction of the regular cost. A must have!

Incredibly good read. Trying to get back into reading, picked this one up 'cause it looked interesting, and finished it in an afternoon. Some of the plot was a touch predictable, but the ride was well worth it. Enjoyable characters and some heart-pumping thrills even if you think you know how it ends. I'd recommend it to someone who enjoys the Mad Max series, or rough and gritty apocalyptic futures.

Turbocharged and frenetic, this story hits the road racing and rarely lets up on the speed. But there’s more to this than zooming around the track. At the heart of this novel is the gripping relationship between two very different women: the magnetic, beautiful racer Cassica Hayle and her stolid, hard-working and brooding tech Shiara DuCal.The novel pulses, throbs and seethes with the often contentious tension between these two. As a crucial race approaches, Shiara and Cassica find themselves drifting further apart in their desires and the reader is thoroughly caught up in their shifting dynamics. Most of the other characters are ably written in too, even supposedly shallow characters as Cassica’s surly ex-boyfriend Card or the quieter Sammis.The author adroitly lays out the various milieus the girls find themselves in: the struggling but clannish small town of Coppermouth, the blasted post-apocalyptic wastelands and the hollowed-out cities where strung-out Howlers live, et al. But the real energy lies in the car races. These are fantastic passages that place the reader squarely in the midst of the action; it’s like someone describing a rollercoaster ride so accurately you can feel your stomach drop when the cars race down from the height of the loop.This is a novel that aptly combines high-octane action with a powerful central friendship, in-depth characterization, plausible dialogue and enough car action to make NASCAR aficionados drool. Even if you’re no fan of car races, this novel grips you from the first sentence and doesn’t let go until the final page. It’s that terrific.

I picked this up at my library because I've liked Chris Wooding's books since I was a kid. His Breaking sky series is still a gem in my library.Very actively and well paced. Velocity was a good read. I'm not shy about dropping a book if it doesn't hold my attention, but I read this one straight through. It's reminiscent of Mad Max and Speed Racer squashed together with two strong girls who won't lay down and quit.
